Best Bits: June

Best Bits is my opportunity to share with you all the things I have been loving and the highlights of my month.

I’m a big fan of monthly round up style posts and reflecting on the things that have happened. I find it helps store memories in my mental timeline of life and helps me be more positive. I have decided to create my own style of monthy round up/favourites called Best Bits. The best bits will vary each month based on what has happened and I would love to hear your suggestions!

Best Blog Post Read:

I’ve been really enjoying Hannah Gale‘s blog this month, especially what she wrote about  why being a woman in her twenties right now is great and I fell in love with her blue midi dress from her travel clothes post.

Best Blog Post Written:

The review of my new glasses, which resulted in a free pair from Clearly *win*

Best Day:

Handing in my final essay of the semester and the start of a whole month off.

Best Meal:

Chow with Mum. We went on Monday (two for one) and got; salt and pepper squid, coconut prawn dumplings, Vietnamese rice paper rolls, peking duck cups, Asian greens and salmon fillet salad. The food was absolutely incredible and I think Chow probably should have made it onto my list of the best places to eat in Wellington!

Best New Find:

TimTam Slams at Southern Cross.

Best Photo:

Otters having a cuddle at Wellington Zoo.

Best Purchase:

My new glasses from Clearly.

Best Recipe:

I Accidentally Ate the Whole Thing’s Blueberry and Lemon Yoghurt Cake. Took so long in the oven but was to die for and refined sugar free *win*

Best Song:

Take Me Over –  Peking Duk

Best Thing Watched:

Hazel Hayes’ short film SEPTUM; absolutely chilling, go watch it if you haven’t already.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the first of my monthly ‘Best Bits’, I’d love to hear what your best bits of June are and any suggestions for other categories I could include in the comments below.
