Best Bits is my opportunity to share with you all the things I have been loving and the highlights of my month.
September seems to have just flown by. Between getting back from Rarotonga and getting back into the swing of uni it’s hard to think what else I have done. I can’t believe there’s now only three months left in the year, and only a month left of my teenage years!
At the beginning of the month my friend who studies in Auckland was still on holiday, so I spent a lot of time with her and another one of my closest friends. Even though I’ve known the two of them for 17 years, we never seem to run out of things to say. I really think it’s hard to beat an evening with ice cream, smores made in the microwave and girly chit chat.
UCanDance ball! It’s so nice to go to a ball where people actually dance. It’s also always fun to get dressed up fancy and have a night out with friends.
Best New Find:
I finally found a full skirt that looks amazing when I’m spinning at dance. It’s just plain grey but I love it.
Spreading the #GratitudeAttitude for Canteen‘s annual appeal. Please donate if you can. I’m not going to lie, I had a wee cry watching the videos.
I made Paleo and Dairy Free Creme Brulee using a recipe from Our Paleo Life. It was so good!
The new All Blacks and Cure Kids supporters video is really funny and has definitely been stuck in my head. I totally recommend watching the full skit and song.
Best Thing Watched:
For Father’s Day we went to see a local production of the musical Spamalot, which is based on Monty Python’s The Holy Grail. It was a really funny show, the music was catchy, costumes outstanding and I knew a few cast members which is always nice.
I hope everyone’s had a great September and that spring is settling in if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere. October will be an exciting month, I’m currently in Wellington to see the World of Wearable Arts Show and by the end of the month I will be done with university for the year!
