Best Dairy Free Cakes

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of #NZBloggers #BlogGreatness weekly challenges. This week’s theme is ‘Cake’ so I thought I would put together a collection of the best dairy free cake recipes I have found online.

If you follow my Facebook page, you’ll probably have noticed I’m a big fan of the food blog I Accidentally Ate the Whole Thing. So the first three are all from there.

Healthy Chocolate Cake – dairy, gluten and refined sugar free!

Carrot Cake – the cake itself is dairy, gluten and refined sugar free but the icing has mascarpone it in. I would substitute this with whipped coconut cream as an icing, or no icing.

Beetroot Chocolate Cake – dairy, gluten and refined sugar free once again. Who would have thought of avocado and banana to make icing?!

The Healthy Foodie: Strawberry Cheesecake – who says you need cheese to make a cheesecake! This one’s a little complicated and involves a lot of ingredients but I’m sure the end product would be worth it. Dairy, gluten and refined sugar free, paleo.

I Quit Sugar: Chocolate and Raspberry Raw Cheesecake – notice a bit of a theme occurring? You seriously can’t beat the combination of chocolate and raspberry. Dairy, gluten and refined sugar free.

One Bowl Apple Cake – this one’s perfect if you have a lot of apples to use up. It’s delicious and moist, I used wholemeal flour and it worked really well.

The Novice Chef: Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake – I have made this on more than one occasion. Perfect for that mini cake craving and my fellow peanut-butter lovers out there. Just use your preferred non-dairy milk (almond/soy/rice etc).

I’d love to hear your favourite cake recipes in the comments!

Happy Sunday,
