Colourpop Haul & Swatches

I’m no beauty blogger but I do really enjoy playing around with make up. I’d seen the brand Colourpop on instagram and had fallen completely in love with their beautiful products. So as a end of semester reward to myself I decided to place an order. The products are affordable, mostly US$5-8. As always shipping to New Zealand wasn’t cheap but ordering a number of products made it seem worthwhile. I also only buy cruelty free make up products, and Colourpop is totally cruelty free!

Ultra Satin Lip

A few months ago I saw Estee Lalonde talking about the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Echo Park. Echo Park is a beautiful pinky-nude shade and appeared to be a similar colour to my favourite nude lipstick (Rimmel Kate Moss #3), which I’ve been looking to replace as it’s not cruelty free.

Colourpop are well known for their Ultra Matte Lip Cremes but I often find matte products too drying. The Satin Lip Cremes are beautiful to apply and have a fairly matte appearance. I have worn Echo Park a couple of times now and it stayed on well.

I also got the deep purple shade Panda, mostly because of the name…. But I’ve been wanting to experiment with lip shades other than pinks/nudes. I haven’t been brave enough to wear it yet so I need an excuse soon.

Lippie Primer

I also got the Lippie Primer to help ensure my lovely new lip cremes went on nice and smoothly. The primer makes your lips a little sticky but seems to help make the colour last.

Lip Liner

I bought the Bound Lip Pencil, as it was the suggested match to Echo Park. I don’t have the steadiest hand when it comes to applying lip liners but practice makes perfect I guess.

Eye Liner

I bought the gorgeous Get Paid Liner a metallic copper coloured liner. As you will notice throughout this haul I have a slight obsession with anything rose gold. So why not some coloured liner to mix it up.

Super Shock Shadow

Colourpop is well known for beautiful metallic and glitter eyeshadows. I don’t actually wear eyeshadow a whole heap so manage to resist and just get one. I got the Super Shock Shadow in Sequin, a beautiful copper/rose gold metallic shade. Sadly the eyeshadow cracked during shipping but I’m still amazed by the pigmentation.

The final product I got on a bit of a whim was the Super Shock Cheek blush in Most Necessary. Again it’s a beautiful coppery-brown shade of blush and it is my unexpected favourite item I bought from Colourpop. The colour suits my pale complexion well and when applied lightly provides a relatively natural blush.

Overall I’m really happy with my new Colourpop Cosmetics. The items totaled US$40 and shipping to New Zealand was US$17, obviously not cheap but I decided it was ok for a treat.

Have you ever tried any Colourpop products? I’d love to hear what you think!

I love colour pop! They have such a great range of colours. And even though the postage does tend to put me off a bit, the products are so well priced, it kind of makes up for it 🙂

    • Totally! Anywhere here in stores you would pay way more than $80 for seven products.
